Caroline Sweeney- Program Director

Growing up in Lower Gwynedd, PA, Caroline attended Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School where she was a four year varsity starter, two-time captain, and earned District and AACA Conference honors. She had the privilege of playing under Alex McMahan at both the club and high school level and stayed on to work part-time for Mayhem while in college. Caroline played D1 field hockey at Northeastern University, located in Boston, Ma. She started all five seasons in the backfield for the Huskies, earning CAA Conference honors her rookie year, as well as CAA Conference All-Tournament team, CAA Academic honors, and NFHCA Academic honors. She was named captain during the spring of her sophomore year and held that honor throughout the rest of her career. Because of Covid 19, the NCAA granted several classes an extra year of eligibility, allowing Caroline to stay at Northeastern and play for a 5th season. After graduating, Caroline joined Mayhem full-time and now works as the Program Director for the club. She loves being able to give back to the club that helped shape her into player and person is she, and she attributes all of her passion and love for coaching to Alex McMahan.
