Carly Ellman

Carly Ellman played Division I Field Hockey at Siena College from 2003-2007, and was team Captain in her Senior season. She coached at her former high school (North Salem) and for the Futures program in NY. She has always been a huge supporter of the sport and is streaming games online or at local college and high school fields in the fall.  Carly had the privilege of being coached by Sharon Saren for the Hudson Valley Empire State games for two summers before going off to play in college. Carly was a Regional All-American her senior year along with All-State her sophomore junior and senior seasons. Thanks to Katie Grant (former Duke field hockey player) and QP Hockey (qphockey.com) Carly has been able to coach young girls again and help foster their love of the sport.

Carly Ellman, MSW, LCSW, received her master’s in social work (MSW) from Fordham University and is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the states of Pennsylvania and Florida. Carly was previously an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (GCSOM), and is now a Full-time Social Work Faculty member at Delaware County Community College and is excited to start a Social Work in Sports certificate program. She maintains a private practice in Dresher, PA where she has the pleasure of working with adolescents, college students and adults working through life transitions, anxiety, depression and eating disorders. Carly also currently works with athletes on the mental side of sport to help balance the whole person and is a consultant with the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee focusing on mental health training and treatment.

Mrs. Ellman is a National Mental Health First Aid Trainer, Green DOT bystander intervention trainer, and Safe Zone trainer.

” I want to share my love and passion for the sport with every player I have the privilege to coach.  I relish the opportunity to help develop a love of Field Hockey in my players by adding just the right amount of hard work and fun into every practice and drill.  My goal is to instill confidence in young girls and help them be the best version of themselves, both in this sport and beyond”.
