Beginning June 2021, there will be no longer be an independent tryout for participation in the Mayhem indoor travel team season, as slots will now be reserved strictly for fall travel team members. “OPEN TRYOUTS” are held in March for any remaining spots on our spring travel teams.
Not only does this new structure give families the opportunity to plan ahead, it allows the Club to run more efficiently and provide athletes with a greater sense of security, camaraderie, and familiarity within their age group, as well as guarantee them the opportunity to compete year-around.
Team rosters are not be determined until each season begins and after the staff has had an opportunity to assess the current level of play. Though age groups remain the same, rosters do vary between seasons because of the changes in roster size. Mayhem’s travel team age classifications take effect in the fall (i.e., your fall travel team age group is the same as USFHA’s winter age group classification for later that year; age groups remain the same from September through May).
Once an athlete has committed to a Mayhem travel team, athletes are not permitted to tryout for, nor play for, any other field hockey Club during the Club year . Violation of this rule will result in immediate removal from the program without compensation or credit.

U-19: 18 or under as of 1/1/24
U-16: 15 or under as of 1/1/24
U-14: 13 or under as of 1/1/24
U-12: 11 or under as of 1/1/24
U-10: 9 or under as of 1/1/24

2023 Fall Travel Team Payment (2022 Home Teams Approx. $450 & Showcase Teams Approx. $850):

2023-2024 Winter Travel Team Payment (Estimate $1200):

- 5% Discount if Paid in full 48 hours after receiving June Tryout Results; OR
- $300 Deposit due 48 hours after receiving June Tryout Results with balance due September 30th
