Additional Tournament Information

Shooting Star Spring Showcase Tournaments

Showcase tournaments are for elite U14/U16/U19 11v11 team members who are ready to compete on the regional stage, and in some cases, participate in the recruiting process.

  • In order to accurately account for our players’ availability for each of these Shooting Star Showcase weekends, pre-registration for “assessment” is required.
  • “Assessment” and will take place during your first team practice (there is no additional cost for assessment) in the spring season.
  • Attendance at the first practice and the tournament is critical,  as the goal is for each of the spring teams to play together at these tournaments; however, we understand that there could be inevitable conflicts that create holes on spring team rosters.
  • In order to fill these holes, players may be asked to play for a different Mayhem team, or participate in both tournaments.
  • The additional cost to participating in a Shooting Star tournament is $175.

NEW Regional Club Championship & National Club Championship Policy

The Regional Club Championship (RCC) and the National Club Championship (NCC) are the two most prestigious and competitive tournaments of the year. These tournaments are reserved for players who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to the Club, who train year-around, who are passionate about continuing their field hockey careers beyond high school and who embody the values of a Mayhem athlete.

  • Assessment for the RCC team is an ongoing process that occurs up until April 16th, though this deadline could be extended if more time is necessary to evaluate our athletes.
  • Athletes who accept an invitation to play for a RCC team are committing to participation in the NCC should their team qualify (DATES BELOW). If you know you cannot attend the NCC, please notify [email protected]
  • Athletes invited to the RCC team will now be required to make a $150 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit towards their NCC payment in addition to their RCC fee; should the team fail to qualify for the NCC, your check will be returned to you at the practice following RCC.
  • Unlike Mayhem’s philosophy at local tournaments, Mayhem’s goal at the RCC and the NCC is to win, and to win by as many points as possible, in order to increase our National ranking and positioning in these tournaments. Therefore, playing time is NOT guaranteed at either the RCC or the NCC.
