D-1 Field Hockey Showcase

Our plan is to divide the group in half based on position, then split the group into two 11v11 teams.  You will run through collegiate-level drills that showcase all aspects of your game, then you will play the other team in a full-field game.  The drills will be set and run by Coach Marybeth Freeman, former Division-1 Coach at Temple University, Columbia University, and the University of Maryland (assistant), former NFHCA President, five-time NCAA D-1 Champion and Mayhem Field Hockey Club’s Director of Recruiting & Collegiate Development.  You will be assigned to a team coached by either Coach  Janelle Benner, Head Coach of D3 powerhouse Ursinus College (5x NCAA D3 Champion) and former Old Dominion University standout, leading ODU to three CAA championships, four NCAA Tournament berths, and a pair of Final Fours as a two-year Captain; or Coach Hannah Allison, Head Coach of D3 Swarthmore College, former assistant at Bucknell University, and former Penn State University standout who led the Nittany Lions to three NCAA tournaments and the NCAA Quarterfinals

We will have two professional videographers from Active Image Media focusing on each team’s individual practice and subsequent scrimmage.  This high-quality raw footage will be sent directly to the programs who had committed to attend the showcase Lafayette, U. Penn, Temple, Villanova, St. Joe’s and Drexel, along with the information collected through our participant  Showcase Booklet SURVEY.  All athletes will ALSO be provided with the raw footage to download, edit, cut and provide to ANY college of your choosing (highlight video services available upon request, at an additional cost).

6:15-7PM: 11v11 Game;  2x 20 minute halves

Group 2A & 2B

7PM-8:15PM: Skill Drills & Talent Showcase

8:15-9PM: 11v11 Game; 2×20 minutes halves
