Shannon Mcneil

Although Shannon didn’t pick-up a field hockey stick until her freshman year at Paul VI High School, in Haddonfield, NJ, she immediately fell in love and launched a sparkling field hockey career. She was recruited by and played for St. Joseph’s University, a Division-1 Program, where she received NFHCA All-Academic Squad Honors my sophomore, junior, and senior years.

While at St. Joe’s, Saint Joe’s, Shannon played midfield and defense and was awarded my team’s Unsung Hero award.  By her Senior year at SJU, she was elected Team Captain and named SJU’s “Most Outstanding Player”. Since college, Shannon coached club field hockey at various ages, and currently serves as the JV Coach at Audubon High School.

Off the field, Shannon earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Education with a Reading Specialist certification and an Autism endorsement.  Shannon currently works as a first and third grade special education teacher at Boothwyn Elementary School in Chichester, PA.
