Coach Katie Evans, a native of Wayne, PA and Villa Maria Academy alum under legendary Coach, Maureen Polley, comes to Mayhem after an impressive playing career on the international stage. Katie played for the USA Senior Women’s National Team and earned over 60 international caps as a midfielder and forward. She secured her spot on the team in 2008 after showing well at the Women’s National Championships that same year. Katie is very familiar with the pipeline from Futures to the US Team, as she has coached and/or played at every milestone.
In college, Katie played for the University of Delaware (Division-1) where she also double majored in Apparel Design and Fashion Merchandising. During that time, she also coached at Delaware and Pennsylvania Futures sites, as well as camps at major colleges and universities. After graduating, Katie went on to play abroad in Ireland and England where she played on teams at the highest level and took on coaching responsibilities within their respective clubs.
Katie is extremely excited to bring her knowledge and passion for the game to Mayhem. She loves helping girls unlock and reach their potential, especially through creating strong fundamentals.
When she wasn’t training with the US team, Katie pursued an extensive career in the fashion industry, managing retail and doing graphic design work for titans such as Under Armor, Ralph Lauren, and Anthropologie.
